Naoko Tagai japán porcelánművész egyéni kiállítása
Naoko Tagai porcelánszobrászati munkásságának középpontjában az anyag sajátos kifejezőerejének és lehetőségeinek felfedezése áll. A kiállításon bemutatott alkotások a művész 2026 tavaszán, a Kecskeméti Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdióban töltött művészeti rezidenciája során születtek.
Tagai porcelánszobrokból és képzeletbeli növényvilágot megidéző rajzokból álló sorozatán keresztül a természet törékenységét és rendkívüli életerejét vizsgálja. Műveiben pillangók, virágzó fák, indák és tüskék alkotnak álomszerű, költői világot, miközben a burjánzó formák a növények ösztönös alkalmazkodóképességét, vitalitását és ellenálló erejét jelenítik meg.
A kiállítás a természetben rejlő életenergiára irányítja a figyelmet, és annak egyetemes, az emberi tapasztalathoz is kapcsolódó jelentését keresi.
Naoko Tagai 2025-ben elnyerte az International Ceramics Festival Aberystwyth Artist in Residency ösztöndíját.

English description:Solo exhibition by Japanese porcelain artist Naoko Tagai
Naoko Tagai’s sculptural practice is rooted in a fascination with porcelain and an ongoing exploration of the material’s expressive possibilities. The works presented in the exhibition were created during the artist’s residency at the Kecskemét International Ceramics Studio in spring 2026.
Through a series of porcelain sculptures and drawings depicting an imaginary world of plants, Tagai explores the delicate balance between the fragility and extraordinary vitality of nature. Butterflies, flowering trees, vines and thorns come together in a dreamlike, poetic universe, while the organic, proliferating forms evoke the instinctive resilience, adaptability and life force of plants.
The exhibition draws attention to the vital energy inherent in nature and explores its universal significance and connection to human experience.
In 2025, Naoko Tagai was awarded an Artist in Residency fellowship by the International Ceramics Festival Aberystwyth.
