A Mexikói Filmnapok a Mexikói Nagykövetség Magyarország kulturális kezdeményezése a kortárs mexikói filmművészet népszerűsítése, valamint a mexikói filmesek művészetének bemutatására. Ezt a kulturális tevékenységet a Mexikói Egyesült Államok Külügyminisztériuma és a Kulturális Minisztérium támogatja a Mexikói Kulturális Diplomáciai Ügyvezető Igazgatóságon, a Mexikói Nemzetközi Fejlesztési Együttműködési Ügynökségen (AMEXCID) és a Mexikói Filmművészeti Intézeten (IMCINE) keresztül, amelyek lehetővé tették a filmek vetítését Magyarországon.
A filmnapok különböző narratívájú produkciókat kínál: a mexikói gasztronómiától az aktuális témájú drámai történetekig. Dokumentumfilmek, animáció és filmdrámák kerülnek majd vetítésre, bemutatva a neves színészek, filmesek, fotósok, vágók munkásságát és azt a technikai csapatot, amely a Mexikói Filmnapok részét képező produkciókban vett részt.
Angol leiras:Mexican Film Days is a cultural initiative by the Embassy of Mexico in Hungary to promote contemporary Mexican cinema and the vision of Mexican filmmakers. This cultural promotion activity has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairsof the United Mexican States and the Ministry of Culture, through the Executive Directorate of Cultural Diplomacy of Mexico, the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development and the Mexican Institute of Cinematography, which granted the facilities to screen feature films in Hungary.
The film exhibition was conceived to offer different audiences productions with different narratives: from Mexican gastronomy to dramatic stories with current themes. Documentary cinema, animation and drama will be projected on celluloid showing us the actors, filmmakers, photographers, editors and the technical team which took their part of the productions and which are part of these Mexican Film Days.

ENG Like a Bride | Synopsis: Adventures, sufferings, loves and difficulties of two young Mexican Jews at the beginning of the sixties. One of them is of Sephardic origin and from a conservative family; the other from a family with Central European ancestry and with traditions very different from the first. The encounters of these young women, of their different ways of being and being in the world of two cultures: the Jewish and the Mexican, give rise to a reflection on social plurality, the insertion and coexistence of cultural minorities in the body of national majorities.
HUN Két mexikói zsidó fiatal kalandjai, szenvedései, szerelmei és nehézségei a hatvanas évek elején. Egyikük egy szefárd konzervatív családból származik; a másik közép-európai felmenőkkel és az elsőtől nagyon eltérő hagyományokkal rendelkező családból. Ezeknek a fiatal nőknek a találkozása, a két kultúra – a zsidó és a mexikói – világában való eltérő életvitelük a társadalmi pluralitás, a kulturális kisebbségek nemzeti többségi közösségbe való beilleszkedése és együttélése eszméjét veti fel.

ENG If it runs or flies… to the Pot | Synopsis: It shows the gastronomic richness of the Hñähñü people through an event with the Ramírez Cruz family. We walk with them through the Mezquital Valley, collecting the scarce local flora and fauna as a method of survival. The whole family intervenes to create a unique and extraordinary gastronomy that respects nature, inherited from pre-Hispanic times.
HUN A Ramírez Cruz családdal közös rendezvényen keresztül mutatja be a hñähñü nép gasztronómiai gazdagságát. Sétálunk velük a Mezquital-völgyön, és megismerjük helyi növény- és állatvilág gazdagságát.
